1985年三菱商事入社。1999年に同社を退社しベンチャーキャピタルであるGlobal Catalyst Partnersをシリコンバレーにて創業。SVにて3ファンドを組成し、ITベンチャー投資に従事。SV在住23年。2014年に日本ファンドを設立し、これまでに2つのファンドを組成。日本での投資活動も積極的に展開中。慶應義塾大学理工学部卒業。東北大学工学研究科博士課程修了。

Dr. Osawa has over thirty years of experience in investment and management of high-tech companies in Japan, the U.S. and Asia. He co-founded Global Catalyst Partners (GCP) in 1999, a venture capital fund in Silicon Valley with a total amount of over $300M and Global Catalyst Partners Japan (GCP-J) in 2014 with over $120M under management. GCP and GCPJ invest primarily in early stage companies active in the areas of IT sector. Prior to GCP, he was at Mitsubishi Corporation, the largest trading firm in the world, for 14 years. Dr. Osawa received a BS in Electronics from Keio University and Ph.D. in Engineering from Tohoku University.
