■Batch 2 EXPOについて
2018年11月〜2019年3月期に実施した「Batch 2」では、 4業界（Fintech、Insurtech、IoT、Mobility）において、公式パートナーである国内大手企業22社と共に、国内外併せて59社のスタートアップを支援しました。成果発表会であるEXPO（一般的にDemo Dayと呼ばれるもの）では、2日間を通して53社のスタートアップが3ヶ月間の成果を発表しました。

また、スタートアップ、パートナー合わせて16のアワードを発表。受賞者・受賞企業は下記の通りです。

【EXPO Winner】
EXPOで、最も得票を集めたスタートアップを表彰します。受賞社には、Plug and Playシリコンバレー本社、またはパリ、シンガポールなどの海外拠点で、VC / 海外企業の前でのピッチ機会を無償で提供します。

【Corporate Innovation Award】
Batch 2のプログラム中、全社的な取り組みとしてプログラムの構築から運営までご支援いただいたパートナー企業を表彰します。

【Ecosystem Builder Award】
Batch 2のプログラム期間中に、Plug and Playのイノベーション・エコシステムの形成に貢献いただいた”Champion”(企業パートナー窓口の方)を表彰します。

【Startup Friendly Award】
Batch 2プログラムの採択スタートアップからの投票で、”最も話を進めやすかった企業”として得票が最も多かった企業パートナーを表彰します。

■ 新プログラムスタートに関して
2018年10月19日に発表した通り、本年2019年より新しいプログラム、「Brand & Retail」がスタートします。EXPOでは、以下の通りファウンディングパートナー5社をご紹介しました。

■次期Batch に関して
次回のプログラムは2019年6月からスタートします。次回のDemo DayであるSummit（EXPOの集合体をSummitとする）は2019年9月18日（水）・19日（木）で開催予定です。

1,533 visitors over 2 days!Plug and Play Japan Batch 2 EXPO Report
53 International and Domestic Startups Gave Pitches

Plug and Play Japan KK (Based in Shibuya, Tokyo, CEO: Philip Seiji Vincent, hereinafter Plug and Play Japan) held 2 days EXPO (Demo Day) for their Batch 2 accelerator program on March 6th and 7th.
53 international and domestic selected startups pitched and 1,533 visitors attended the event.

■ About Batch 2 EXPO
Plug and Play Japan ran the accelerator program, Batch 2, from November 2018 through March 2019, supporting 59 domestic and overseas startups across 4 verticles (Fintech, Insurtech, IoT, Mobility) in collaboration with 22 corporate partners. At EXPO (their so-called “Demo Day”, an event to present the outcomes of the accelerator program), 53 startups gave presentations to express their results of the 3-month program over 2 days.

[ EXPO Winner ]
At EXPO, the startups that earned the largest number of votes from the audience received an award. Award winners are entitled to the opportunity to pitch in front of venture capitals and international corporates at different Plug and Play global offices. Award winners are listed below.

[ Corporate Innovation Award ]
Corporate Innovation Awards were given to the following corporate partners who have passionately engaged with Plug and Play’s Batch 2 program from conceptualization to operations.

[ Ecosystem Builder Award ]
Ecosystem Builder Awards were given to the most dedicated Champions, people who have devoted themselves to build Plug and Play’s innovation ecosystem at their companies during the Batch 2 program.

[ Startup Friendly Award ]
Startup Friendly Awards were given to the following partners in honor of being friendly to startups in the process of their meetings/collaborative projects. Award winners were selected based on the votes from the selected startups during the Batch 2 program.

■ Announcement of the New Program
Official as of October 19, 2018, Plug and Play Japan will launch the new vertical and its program, Brand & Retail. At EXPO, 5 founding corporate partners were introduced as follows;

■ About the Next Batch Program
The next batch program will kick off from June 2019 and the next EXPO is scheduled on September 18, Wednesday and the September 19, Thursday.
